We can win every battle through prayer and fasting: conquering addictions, depression, fear, and disease. Prayer with fasting was a common practice throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament. Jesus did not begin His ministry until He defeated the devil with prayer and fasting. Luke 4:2 says, “for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they ended, He was hungry.”
Each year Knoxville Christian Center begins the New Year with 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting for our nation, church, and families. Joel 2:12-13 says, “Even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart with fasting and weeping and mourning.’ Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.” During the 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, we hold miracle services with international speakers each evening except Saturdays, in addition to Sunday morning worship services.
Throughout the year our pastor prays & fasts each Monday and encourages us to join him in our own prayer & fasting. Pastor also prays & fasts for three days (Monday-Wednesday) once a month. Prayer with fasting is the Bible’s way of facing problems, and we have seen many miracles in men and women produced by prayer with fasting. A monthly schedule of Dr. Culberson’s fasting schedule is provided at the bottom of the page.
